Nic Cage and Chloe Moretz talk ‘Kick-Ass’

How would you describe Hit-Girl?
She’s a purple, crazy assassin girl! It’s funny; she acts so tough, but underneath everything she’s just this little 11 year-old girl. I was amazed that I got this part. No joke. About a month before I got this script, Wanted came out, with Angelina Jolie, and I was like, “Oh my gosh, Mom, I really want a role just like that – y’know, like, a take-charge action hero.” And when she read Kick-Ass, my mom was like, “Chloe, you’ll never believe this…” I read it …

Teen Vogue: Why you should know Chloe Moretz

This ridiculously talented about-to-turn-13-year-old steals the thespian thunder from on-screen dad Nicholas Cage as Hit-Girl in comic-book-based film Kick-Ass, due out on April 16th. The buzzy movie about average folks who turn themselves into superheroes is all guns, guts, and glory, and Chloe tears it up hardcore. She’s also starring in this October’s Let Me In, the remake of the Norweigan vampire movie Let The Right One In–easily the coolest vampire movie of the decade (sorry, Twilight Saga). Keep an eye on this most likely to succeed it girl in …

Our “10 in ‘10” series is continuing to roll out all week long, and one of our latest installments features “(500) Days of Summer” star Chloe Moretz – a 12-year-old girl with three films coming out this year, including the eagerly-anticipated remake of the vampire flick “Let the Right One In,” entitled “Let Me In.”
“It’s about a boy who lives in Los Alamos, New Mexico. Growing up, not many people like him, he’s not popular. He’s wimpy, kind of an outcast,” she said of the role played by Kodi Smit-McPhee …

It’s been a busy few days here at MTV News, as we’re presenting our “10 to Watch in 2010” selections all week long, and recently published an exclusive interview with one of my favorites: Chloe Moretz, a 12-year-old actress who seems like she’s going on 35.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, Moretz plays “Hit-Girl” in April’s big-screen version of John Romita Jr. and Mark Millar’s “Kick-Ass.” And if advance audiences are to be believed, her ass-kicking character is four months away from becoming a household name.
“I’ve been trained …

MTV: ‘Kick-Ass’ star Chloe Moretz is one of 10 to watch in 2010

With 2010 upon us, we here at MTV wish you a happy new year. But, at the risk of bringing you down, there’s a good chance that a 12-year-old girl is gonna have a better 2010 than any of us.
Her name is Chloe Moretz, better known as Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s precocious little sister in “(500) Days of Summer.” This year she’ll not only enter her teens, but release three diverse, highly anticipated movies: The superhero action film “Kick-Ass,” the kid-friendly-adaptation of the bestselling “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” series, and …

In an interview with MTV, Let Me In director Matt Reeves dishes the film, and compliments Chloe and her co-star, Kodi Smit-McPhee.
MTV: And in your young stars, Kodi Smit-McPhee from “The Road” and Chloe Moretz, who’s going to be in “Kick-Ass,” you seem to have found two young actors who can bring a lot to the set.
Reeves: The idea that we have these two kids is kind of a dream. My God, those are very challenging roles! [...]
MTV: And Chloe, too, is getting all this buzz.
Reeves: Chloe is just remarkable. …
