thats how i feel about chess. absolutely my favourite game. more so than any videogame etc..can never find anyone who wants to play though. my friends are tired of getting beat, so i'm stuck playing against an emotionless computer program which gets boring after a while

I'm fairly certain that there are a number of websites where you can play with people. Starting with yahoo games. There are also chess dedicated websites.

lol that's a funny way of putting it. I like some chess, but suck at it because I play like once a year, but when I did play I would play vs a friend who was worst than me, so that didn't help. Personally I enjoy losing in Chess, but I just can't stand the long turns, I'm patient and all but I hate it when games aren't timed and a player takes like 5 minutes to make a move. :|

BTW I like chess too. I just suck at it. And never really had anyone to play with.

@Avada> when i get my computer, we should definitely play. I'm not "great" at it. I just love the game for it's seemingly infinite potential and it's combination of left brain/right brain strategy. :geek:

Not sure. It might be a tad embarrassing since I also haven't played for a year or two. :)
