Only thing that scares me a bit is the production team of which none has the greatest track history (sorry Trevor and Teri).

Yeah, I'm worried about that, too. I don't like to judge a movie before seeing it, but we all know what happened with Hick.

I'm new here but these comments bothered me so had to post what do you mean what happened with hicK? The majority of us haven't seen it yet and the reviews that have have said the acting is excellent but they don't like the subject mater. Meaning there focusing on one thing they don't like and trying to chastise people who do like it like roger Ebert review of kick ass.. If i followed his review i probably wouldn't be here so what i am saying is all save my opinion good or bad on hick once i see it !

So they start shooting in summer, then in fall Chloë will make Carrie and after that in 2013 The Drummer.
Now I'm up to date.

The term "Rut" is often used by deer hunters as it is the time of year when the bucks get after a doe...if u get my meaning

There's a new interview with Jeffrey Dean Morgan where he talks a few words about "The Rut" and "The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea".
He explains why it's so difficult to realize both film projects ( remember Chloë's schedule ) so it seems that both movies will probably realize some time next year.

Hmm. A 'rut' has been taken from the natural world, by definition, and bastardized into meaning 'getting stuck in an unavoidable, repeated behavior'. It's true original definition is as follows:

rut - noun, verb
1. the periodically recurring sexual excitement of the male deer, goat, sheep, etc.

It's marked by a time of combative, aggressive behavior toward other males, intense fights, and only draws to a close when the most dominant males have successfully mated with the acceptant females.

As a name for a movie, I'm not sure how that applies. Nor do I see the usage of the 'falling into a rut' defintion having any better appeal. A more engaging name might be a good consideration for the film.

Oh my god, I thought "The rut" means "La ruta", but now I realize that would means "The route"... mmmm...I also don't understand it.
