Texas Killing Fields was okay as a movie - and Chloë did a great job. As I mentioned earlier in the thread - the only scene I think she didn't quite "win" was the angry/screaming scene at the station "What did I do!"-scene.

But I love the "ghetto-Chloë" look she has going in the movie... So vulnerable - yet so independent.

It's another kind of role Chloë played here. I loved the "ghetto-Chloë" too - so total agree with you, Oskar - but it was something new, I didn't see her before in such a role and it was a new impression for me to see her in such a role.
And maybe for Chloë it was a new experience to play such a role - she didn't play such a role before.
It helped me very much to know how the "real" Chloë is and that this is "just a role" (as she said it in a Kick Ass interview) because she played it so convincing that it makes me sad what happens to the girl she played. :|

The "What did I do!" scene was crazy. :D But I couldn't explain it myself if it was good or bad - you give me a lot to think about this scene, Oskar. ;)

When I see that scene, the only thing I wanna do is go hug her and tell her everything is gonna be alright... She looks like she needs a hug in that scene :)

I don't like a sad Chloë

I absolutely understand what you mean. I don't like a sad Chloë too.
But I told myself "it's just a role she plays". That helps ;)

Here's an info for all German Chloë fans:

Texas Killing Fields will be released in German language on DVD/ BlueRay.

At this time I'm a little bit confused about the release date - On some pages I read May 07 (07. Mai) on other pages July 11 (11.Juli). But it will be released in any case. :)

@Marcel> I have a question. When given the option to watch an american movie in it's native language or overdubbed in german, which do you prefer? The reason i ask, is because when i watch foreign films (Japanese anime and kung fu films mostly) I always watch them in their native language. I find the American voice acting to be terrible! Which can add to the humor in some instances...I was just curious since your english seems really good.

Thank you, Japandroid17. I do my best because I want that everyone can understand me here.

If I've got the chance I watch the movie in German, it's easier for me to understand it, because it's my native language.
But some of Chloë's movies never were overdubbed into German so I watch them in English.

On DVD I've got also the chance to watch it in the foreign language (for example English) and sometimes I watch movies in both languages.
As you said it the original language is even better, you can feel what the director wants to say with his words. When it's get overdubbed a lot of the original feelings go away.

A little problem with American English is the way they pronounce it - it's this "American slang". So for me the British English is better to understand.
But I have to give a very great praise to Chloë - she's one of the only American actresses I can understand in any case.
She's got a very good pronouncing and it's a big pleasure for me to watch her movies in the original language. (And it's Chloë's real voice. :P )

So I would prefer overdubbed in German but if I've got the option I would always see the movie twice in its native language.

I know what you mean. When i;m watching a movie in Japanese, I may not a understand what they're saying, but the emotions come across so much better than a dubbed version. As far as American slang, it can defintely get tricky at times. Of course that's how i feel about some British movies. I think i understand it better than most americans because i watch alot of movies, but if i'm watching say a Guy Ritchie movie, i like to watch it with subtitles so i get a better feel for the dialogue:)
