This film is sounding like a very big production!Jude Law, Ray Winstone and Christopher Lee have joined the cast of Martin Scorsese's "The Invention of Hugo Cabret". "Cabret" represents Scorsese's first forary into 3D.
Asa Butterfield and Chloe Moretz had been previously announced as cast members on the pic, which began shooting Tuesday in London. Sony is set to release "Cabret" on Dec. 9, 2011.
The story centers on a 12-year-old orphan named Hugo, who lives in a train station and must finish what his late father started by solving the mystery of a broken robot. It is being produced by...blah,blah...and Johnny Depp.

I just found out that this film is the first live action movie where EVERYTHING is in 3D:beka_k14 wrote:Chloe in 3D - great.

Don't they film it in 2D at the same time for DVD and normal cinemas? 3D movie cameras seem to have 3 lenses and I always assumed the one in the middle was for normal 2D. Not an expert talking here so maybe I should look this up.frogk04 wrote:Maybe this whole movie in 3D thing may not be a great idea.
