LMI DVD/BluRay deleted scenes?

Postby BFTE Mclau » Wed Feb 02, 2011 2:25 pm

There are only 3 deleted scenes on the BluRay, but If I recall, there's supposed to be an extra hour of cut footage that wasn't included. Can anyone remember what scenes (from your knowledge) weren't included?

I remember the scene where the Police Officer is talking to the Father in the hospital is supposed to be longer, and there is also supposed to be a scene of Abby waking up next to Owen because of the rising sun (as scene in many trailers).

Can anyone think of anything else? And also, why they weren't included?

Maybe a second, directors-cut release of the movie....

It's not unusal for footage to not be included in the DVD release, even if it appeared in trailers etc. Happens all the time with movies, according to Matthew Vaughn there's like an hours worth of extra scenes from Kick-Ass, none of which were included on the DVD/Blu-Ray.

It's possible that some of the footage may be released on a future "deluxe" edition or something like that, but I wouldn't hold out, sometimes footage just gets cut and is never released sadly.

That is an extreme shame, if true. I would have loved a deeper insight into the film...

According to this interview with Matt Reeves, we may never see any additional footage for Let Me In as there were no extended cuts and they would have to go back into the editing room: http://www.assignmentx.com/2011/exclusive-interview-let-me-in-director%20-matt-reeves-takes-on-the-dark-side-of-adolescence/
