I have seen
Dark Shadows. Won a pass to the premiere last night. In a nutshell, I enjoyed it very very much. It really isn't so much a comedy--at least not like
Vampires Suck or even
Young Frankenstein. It feels a lot more like
Sleepy Hollow. The cast give wonderful performances, and capture a lot of the original series' "feel". Given the venue, I will particularly praise the dynamic between Elizabeth (Michelle Pfeiffer) and her daughter Carolyn (Chloe Grace Moretz), especially with the latter as this seemingly hardcore hippie wannabe. The way she puts on a record and dances is a trip. So too is her manner around Depp's Barnabas.
Now...
spoilers.
Anyway, I liked it a lot and recommend it for any with a love of the spooky and kind ookey.
