2010 Movies

Which upcoming movie of Chloe's are you most looking forward to?

I think all three (Kick-Ass, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and Let Me In) look like they'll be good. The one I'm most interested in though is Let Me In. I've already seen the Swedish version of it and read the book, so it'll be interesting to see how the new version differs from what I'm used to. Also Chloe will likely be perfect for the role of Abby (Eli). She has this maturity on screen that I think will work really well with the character.

Let Me In. The book was great and I avoided the Swedish film because it could never fit with the mental picture I have of the characters. I'm glad the English-language movie will be given a different setting and character names. I can enjoy a filmed version of the story without constantly comparing it to the written story.

I hadn't heard of Chloë until I saw the ads for Kick Ass. After seeing the movie I'm excited to see how she'll handle the role of Abby, especially if the Håkan character is as distasteful as he is in the book. She was amazing as Mindy/Hit Girl so I'm confident she can bring some depth to the character.

My guess is that the Håkan character will be watered down in the English version, if he's included at all.

Chloe was awesome in Kick-Ass. I can't wait to see how she does in other movies too. She played the role of Hit Girl amazingly well and is probably most people's favorite character from the movie.

Well, Kick-Ass has been the only movie I have seen her in thus far. Needless to say, her maturity as an actress blew me away. If somehow I didn't know she was 11 at the time of filming, I would have guessed her to be much older based on her acting capabilities. In my opinion, her role in Kick-Ass was flawless. Now people bring up the controversy surrounding the violence and language; it's a non-factor with Chloe. If the critics actually saw the movie and looked into some of her interviews, they'd realize how much understanding she has of what she is doing. She understands that Hit-Girl is just a character and thusly she shouldn't kill people and use vulgar language in real life. She conducts herself like an adult and thus should be treated as one. That includes having "controversial" movie roles.

Anyway, some of the movies that she is in or going to be in look pretty great. Chloe seems to have an unending work ethic so I would expect her movie roles to only go up. As far as Kick-Ass 2 is concerned, it should be a go. The movie has already eclipsed it's production costs domestically, and with international sales added in its over 35 million above production costs. Plus, the whole cast has said in interviews (minus Nic Cage and Mark Strong obviously) that they would like to reprise their roles. Whatever happens, I can see Chloe growing up to be an Angelina Jolie-like action star. After all, a billboard with Jolie on it promoting Wanted is what got her interested in doing an action role.

Well, that's my two cents. Will be looking forward to whatever this young dynamo puts out. Quite a star in the making. It's great that she's young and has A TON of career ahead of her. Peace out folks.
