Eight year-old Chloe Moretz fell in love with her “The Amityville Horror” co-stars while making the scary pic. A trip to Six Flags helped Chloe bond with her onscreen mom, Melissa George, and now she refers to George as her “second mom.” She even had a sleepover with the former “Alias” co-star.
Working on a movie as creepy as the 2005 remake of “The Amityville Horror” may have scared other youngsters but Moretz said the whole experience was really just a lot of fun. She knew it was fake and so nothing scared her on the set. Asked what her favorite part of filming “The Amityville Horror” was, Chloe immediately said her time spent on the roof of the house was her absolute favorite. “It really wasn’t scary. The first time it was. [We filmed for] about five or six days. The first day I got used to it quickly. I loved it. …They put me on wires.”
Hanging out on a roof and dangling from wires might not sound like the most obvious idea of a good time, but for Chloe Moretz it was all in a day’s work. Even when she had a bit of scare, she quickly recovered and went back to work. “This one day I was playing and I was swinging and I had my wires on and I flew off the edge and then I [panicked]. But they said, ‘You’re fine. You have wires on,’” recalls Moretz.
Up next for the young actress is a role as a paralyzed kid in the Steven Seagal movie, “Today You Die.”
